Festivals

Since the inception of ARCO student-teachers and staff have fundraised to travel to South Africa several times a year to deliver in-person teaching. These visits often took on the form of a festival, encompassing an intensive week of 1:1 lessons, alongside workshops, orchestra, chamber music and concerts for the community involving all of the ARCO students at MICM. Teacher training sessions were also a feature of these festival weeks. During the pandemic ARCO introduced new Digital Festivals, ambitious events, building both on in person work and launching exciting new programmes. June 2023 saw the first in person ARCO Festival since COVID.
